Newcastle United have perfect chance to sign Chelsea star

Newcastle United have already made some big moves this summer. The Magpies have signed Sven Botman, Matt Targett and Nick Pope. All three are expected to make major contributions in Eddie Howe’s side and as a result, they already seem to be in a better position than the team which finished 11th last season.

The Magpies are not expected to stop here though and could end up making more signings this summer. They have solidified their defence with their signings but some work needs to be done up front and on the wings.

Newcastle United have been linked with the likes of Moussa Diaby, Thorgan Hazard and Raphinha in recent times.

It looks like Raphinha could be headed towards Chelsea though, after the Blues agreed a transfer fee with Leeds United, although it appears that Barcelona are still in the running for the Brazilian star and there could potentially be an unexpected twist in the table. It does open up the opportunity for Newcastle United to make a move for Hakim Ziyech.

Ziyech’s time at Chelsea has been interestingly to say the least. He has come up with some big moments and goals, but then, he has never managed to nail down a regular spot in the starting XI, especially since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival as the manager.

He is still a spectacular talent though and can be vital to many clubs around Europe. Newcastle United are no exception and could do with a player of his abilities.

It is believed that Chelsea are ready to let Ziyech leave this summer and it would not take a huge transfer fee to sign him either. He has been linked with a move to AC Milan but Newcastle United should see if they have a chance.
