Newcastle United are targeting Argentine international star
Newcastle United are expected to strengthen up top this summer as they look to move further up the Premier League table after finishing 11th last season and potentially even challenge for a top six spot. That cannot be said to be out of the realms of possibility considering how good the Magpies were in the second half of last season under the management of Eddie Howe.
One area that was a problem for them though was going forward. And it looks like they are keen to address that issue.
Newcastle United have been heavily linked with a move for Hugo Ekitike in recent times, one of the most highly-rated young strikers in all of Europe after his breakout campaign with Stade Reims. That move has continued to drag on though and it looks like the Magpies have other targets in their sights as well.
As reported by Newcastle World, Newcastle United are considering a move for Inter Milan star and Argentine international Joaquin Correa according to reports in Italy.

While mostly playing as a second striker, Correa is also capable of playing on the wing or up top on his own. As a result, his versatility could make him more attractive to Newcastle United, who are in need of options in multiple positions.
Correa has quite a bit of top level experience under his belt. He has represented the Argentina national team on multiple occasions and was part of their Copa America-winning squad from last summer. Other than Inter Milan, he has also played for Sevilla and Lazio in the past.
One thing about Correa that might raise a few eyebrows though is the fact that he is not the most prolific of goal scorers. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 6 goals last season for Inter Milan across all competitions.
