Newcastle United are expected to look to strengthen in several areas of the squad in the summer transfer window. The club made a splash in January and we have already seen its effect on the Magpies, as they went from relegation struggles to a 11th place finish in the Premier League table within just a few months. Thus, the future looks bright for them to say the least.

Another club who kept their place in the Premier League this season are Leeds United. Going into the final day, it had looked like there was a good possibility that the Peacocks would get relegated. They managed to avoid the drop in dramatic fashion though, as they won against Brentford while Burnley lost to Newcastle United to finish 18th.

The man who went into the history books for Leeds United on the day was Jack Harrison, with him scoring in the 94th minute to seal all three points for the club. And it looks like the player will be drawing some serious interest in the summer.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in Harrison.

Harrison has been one of the rare bright spots for Leeds United this season and shown that he is capable of performing at a Premier League level, even when in an underperforming side.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Harrison has scored 10 goals and provided 2 assists in 38 appearances for Leeds United through the course of the campaign.

Thus, signing a winger like Harrison has the possibility to be an absolutely brilliant move on the part of Newcastle United but it will not be easy to pull off by any stretch of the imagination. With Leeds United’s place in next season’s Premier League season secure, they might not be keen on letting one of their best players leave while Tottenham Hotspur are also rumoured to be in the race.
