Newcastle United ready to make huge offer for Inter Milan superstar

It will be very interesting to see what kind of approach Newcastle United take in the upcoming summer transfer window. They already showed their intent in January by making some huge moves but at the same time, they did not make any huge signings. One would expect the club to make a big name move this summer though as a statement of intent.

A number of big names have been linked with the club in recent times and quite a few of them would be considered as major coups.

One of them was Paulo Dybala, who is leaving Juventus as a free agent. But now, it is believed that he is headed for Inter Milan. Could that start a domino effect though?

As reported by CalcioMercato, Newcastle United are ready to make an offer around €6.5 million net per season to Ivan Perisic. The Croatian international’s current deal with Inter Milan runs out in the summer and thus, he could be available as a free agent.

Newcastle United linked with sensational move for Perisic

Perisic has been an absolute superstar for Inter Milan ever since arriving at the club. He played a key role in their Serie A triumph last season and this time around, he scored a brace in the Coppa Italia final, as the Nerazzurri enjoyed adding another title to their cabinet.

Although the Croatian is 33 years of age, he is playing some of his best football right now. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Perisic has scored 9 goals and provided 8 assists for Inter Milan this season.

Other than Inter Milan, he has also played for clubs like Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich through the course of his career and has some real top level experience under his belt.

With Newcastle United hoping to move up the table and challenge the traditional big six, someone of Perisic’s quality and experience would be a major coup for the Magpies, especially if they can bring him in as a free agent.
