Newcastle United star tipped for surprise exit in the summer
Newcastle United laid down the foundations of a strong team in the January transfer window but this summer might be the time when the big moves are made. The Magpies have taken some huge steps in the right direction under the management of Eddie Howe, who has shown that he is the right man to take this club forward, but at the same time, it is pretty clear that they still have a long way to go.
The proof of that lies in the heavy defeats that they have suffered recently at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. It just goes on to show the gap that still exits between the truly elite teams in the Premier League and Newcastle United.
This summer will provide the club the opportunity to fill that gap to a large extent though. And while arrivals are expected, it could lead to some exits as well.
One of the players that has been tipped for the St James’ Park exit door is Jamaal Lascelles. As reported by GIVEMESPORT, journalist Dean Jones said about the situation:
"“He’ll be available for transfer in the summer.“The circumstances just aren’t going to suit him at this stage and Newcastle are looking to transition beyond him.“It’s just the vision that Newcastle have right now and, from what I understand, Lascelles probably isn’t going to fit in with it.”"

The Newcastle United captain has struggled for playing time since the arrival of Howe as manager and it looks like the club and the player could potentially part ways in the summer.
This would be a tough exit for sure for a lot of people but at the same time, if The Magpies are to move in the right direction and become one of the top teams in the country and Europe, some tough decisions will have to be taken.
Lascelles has been a wonderful player for Newcastle United over the years and a few months back, not many would have expected him to even be linked with an exit but that is just how quickly things move in football.
