Eddie Howe has done a wonderful job since arriving at Newcastle United. When he was appointed, The Magpies seemed destined for the drop and even keeping them up would be seen as a huge achievement. Not only has he been able to guide them to safety though but he has turned them into one of the most in-form teams in all of Europe and are now sitting in the top half of the Premier League table.

Thus, one would hope that Howe is backed in the summer transfer window because it feels like he can take this side far and potentially even have them challenging for a top six spot in the very near future.

One player that the club have been linked with recently is Ismaila Sarr and the fact that Watford look set to be relegated makes an exit very likely for the winger.

As reported by FootballTransfers, Newcastle United have been offered the chance to sign Sarr. Agent Saif Rubie, as well as Senegalese representative Thierno Seydi, met with the club last month, with the winger looking for a way out of his current team. It is believed that The Hornets will look for a £40 million transfer fee for the winger.

While Watford might be headed for relegation, it is worth pointing out that Sarr has been one of the most highly-rated players in the Premier League, not playing for a Big Six side, for a long time now.

Many believe that he has the potential to play for a huge club and this appears to be a good chance to finally sign the winger.

Of course, if he was to leave Watford, there is expected to be quite some interest in his signature. Also, one thing that is not clear is how much interest Newcastle United have in Sarr at this point of time. But if they were to sign him, it could prove to be a transfer masterstroke on the part of the club.
