Newcastle United have been absolutely outstanding since the turn of the year and completed one of the most remarkable turnarounds in the history of English football. Not too long ago, they appeared to be one of the teams nailed on to be relegated. But now, they have climbed up to ninth in the Premier League table and could even end up finishing the season in the top half.

That is incredible to say the least and let’s see if they can pull it off. It won’t be easy though as Newcastle United do have a very tough run of fixtures from now till the end of the season.

Next, they will come up against arguably the best football team in the world right now in the form of Liverpool. Only Jurgen Klopp’s side have managed to earn more points in the Premier League this year than Newcastle United and thus, it is set to be a contest between two of the most in-form teams in England.

Liverpool are set to be without Roberto Firmino once again though as Klopp has ruled the Brazilian out of the game against Newcastle United. As reported by Liverpool Echo, the manager said:

"“He will not be ready for tomorrow, he didn’t train yet. We have to get further information and find a way to get him back.”"

Liverpool will be without Firmino in the game against Newcastle United

It is safe to say that this is a blow as Firmino has been one of their most important players for a long time now.

He has been struggling with injuries recently and has not featured for a while but that has not been able to stop Klopp’s side from racking up one win after the other.

Thus, it goes without saying that Newcastle United will have their work cut out for them even though Liverpool will not have Firmino in their ranks. Their forward line is most probably the best in world football today and it will be very interesting to see how Howe’s side deal with it.
