Newcastle United are being linked with an interest in some of the most in-demand players in the world in recent months as The Magpies are expected to look to rapidly rise up the Premier League table. They have already made a lot of progress since the arrival of Eddie Howe as manager and have a chance to finish in the top half of the table, although it will be difficult with games against Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal still to be played.

No matter how this season ends, it has to be considered as a success though. Not too long ago, Newcastle United looked destined for relegation.

But they have made an incredible turnaround in 2022 and have been one of the most in-form teams in all of Europe since the turn of the calendar.

Newcastle United are expected to splash out in the summer transfer window and one player that they have been linked with in recent times is Karim Adeyemi. But as reported by Kicker, a move to Borussia Dortmund is imminent for the Germany international.

Newcastle United handed Adeyemi transfer blow by Borussia Dortmund

Adeyemi has been one of the best youngsters in world football in recent times and seems to be on his way to a big move in the summer, after impressing immensely during his time with RB Salzburg.

He is a brilliant prospect to say the least and if Borussia Dortmund do end up signing him, it would be a major coup on the part of the Bundesliga club for sure.

Adeyemi is just 20 years of age but has already played and scored for Germany. He is enjoying an incredible campaign at club level at the same time.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Adeyemi has scored 20 goals and provided 5 assists in 39 appearances for RB Salzburg this season. Those are incredible numbers, especially for a player who turned 20 years of age just earlier this year.
