Injured Newcastle United star set to return ‘very soon’
Things are certainly looking up for Newcastle United at the moment. Having won three straight games against difficult opposition in the form of Wolves, Leicester City and Crystal Palace, the Magpies are now almost guaranteed to stay up in the Premier League. And not only that, but they could also finish in the top 10 if they are able to finish the campaign strong.
Not many would have predicted this kind of a turnaround in such a short span of time and it will be very interesting to see how far Eddie Howe can take this team.
Even more impressive is the fact that Newcastle United have been able to do this while missing several key players through injury. One of them is Kieran Trippier, who has been out since February, having arrived only the month before from Atletico Madrid and made a great start to life at St James’ Park.
There is some positive news surrounding Trippier’s fitness though, as it looks like he could be back on the pitch very soon. As reported by GIVEMESPORT, journalist Dean Jones said about the defender:
"“I know with Trippier, they’re really optimistic that he’s back very soon. And they’re really keen that he does get a few games in before the end of the season, not just for himself in terms of fitness, but because for the last couple of games of the season, they want to have their strongest team out there.“They want to end the season with the best team they possibly can, with the best results they possibly can, to go into the summer full of optimism, and then try and convince some big names to come and join them. So, they’re really optimistic that Trippier is going to be part of that.”"
Trippier looks set to make Newcastle United return very soon
Trippier returning to the pitch will be a huge boost for Newcastle United as the England international is certainly part of their best team, when everybody is fit and available.
He had made a bright start at the club as well after arriving from Atletico Madrid at the start of the year but would unfortunately pick up an injury not much later, which has kept him out of action since then.
Newcastle United have a very difficult run of games coming up to the end the season as they will face the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool in three of their last four Premier League games of the campaign.
