Newcastle United have been linked with several top players over the past few months as The Magpies are expected to splash out in the summer transfer window. After their recent win over Wolves, it feels like Eddie Howe’s side might have already done enough to stay up in the Premier League, although both Everton and Leeds United winning does make things interesting.

If Newcastle United are able to avoid the drop, do not be surprised to see them strengthen their squad significantly in the summer.

One new name that has emerged in the Newcastle United rumour mill recently is that of West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen, who has been tremendous this season.

As reported by 90min, Newcastle United are interested in signing Bowen. Liverpool are believed to have an interest in the West Ham United star as well though, with the long-term futures of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane up in the air.

Newcastle United enter the transfer race for Bowen

While Declan Rice grabs most of the headlines when it comes to possible exits from West Ham United, Bowen has been just as important for the Hammers.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Bowen has scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in 41 appearances for West Ham United this season.

The winger is just 25 years of age as well and thus, would be expected to get even better moving forward. So, it is not hard to see why Newcastle United might be interested in signing him. Howe is believed to have been a fan of Bowen since his time as Bournemouth manager.

Bowen’s current deal with West Ham United runs till the summer of 2025 and there is expected to be significant interest in his signature if he was to leave. Thus, it will not be easy for Newcastle United to sign him, but they must keep an eye out on the situation of the winger.
