Newcastle United will be in search of a win. While The Magpies have been excellent overall this year, their recent run of results has not been good. They suffered back-to-back 1-0 defeats against Chelsea and Everton, before being handed a 5-1 defeat by Tottenham Hotspur. Thus, after losing three games in a row, Eddie Howe’s side definitely have to be looking to get their momentum back on track.

Their next game is against Wolves, which is expected to be another tight contest. Bruno Lage’s side have been excellent this season and currently sit at eighth in the Premier League table.

Thus, Newcastle United will have to be at the top of their game if they are to get either a win or a draw against them. Unfortunately, they have suffered an injury blow leading up to the contest.

As tweeted out by Craig Hope, Joe Willock is a doubt for the game against Wolves, due to a knee injury.

Willock is an injury doubt for Newcastle United for the game against Wolves

It goes without saying that this is a blow for Newcastle United, as Willock has been a regular feature in the first-team this season.

At this point of time, they need their best players available to get things back on track. While it is too early to panic for Howe’s side, it must be said that if they do not get win in their next few games, some doubts will definitely start creeping in around St James’ Park.

Unfortunately for Newcastle United, they have a very tough run in coming up, with games against Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal still left to be played as well. Thus, it is very possible that they could still end up getting dragged into a relegation battle late on if they are not careful. Let’s see what the future holds.
