Most of the rumours surrounding Newcastle United in recent months have been about potential signings in the summer. It is not hard to see why, as The Magpies are expected to splash out when the transfer window reopens, similar to how they did in January. But at the same time, there will have to be outgoings from St James’ Park as well.

Surprisingly, one name who is being linked with a Newcastle United exit is that of Allan Saint-Maximin. On top of his game, he is arguably the club’s most exciting player. But in recent times, he has not been on form.

Now, when on song, Saint-Maximin is a handful for any defence in the Premier League. But when he is not playing to the best of his abilities, he is a player who does not bring a lot to the team. And rumours have suggested that Newcastle United would be ready to let the Frenchman leave if they receive a £50 million transfer bid for him.

As reported by 90min, Everton are keeping tabs on Saint-Maximin’s situation and Wolves are also believed to hold an interest.

Everton will surely need to improve their squad in the summer, as they find themselves in the middle of a relegation battle. But any interest for Saint-Maximin will depend on whether Frank Lampard is able to guide them to safety.

On the other hand, Wolves are believed to be looking to find a replacement for Adama Traore, who is currently on loan at Barcelona but the deal could be made permanent.

On the other hand, if Saint-Maximin was to leave, one would expect Newcastle United to look to make additions on their wings and they have been linked with some very interesting names themselves in recent times.
