Eddie Howe has made quite an impact since arriving at Newcastle United as manager. The club had been linked with several names like Unai Emery, Paulo Fonseca and others, before he was appointed, but it is hard to imagine that many could have done a better job than he has at St James’ Park over the past several months.

Not too long ago, this team had looked destined for the drop. Now, they are one of the most in-form teams in all of Europe and might even end up finishing in the top half of the Premier League.

Thus, if any fans had doubts about Howe as the Newcastle United manager, it is safe to say that he has won them over. And next summer, it might be time to shape up the squad a bit more to fit the kind of football that he wants The Magpies to play.

One player who could be on his way out of St James’ Park is Miguel Almiron, as it appears that Howe does not rate him. As reported by GiveMeSport, transfer insider Dean Jones said:

"“Almiron is available for transfer. The simplest way to state it is that Howe doesn’t rate him and doesn’t think he can fit in with the way he’s heading.”"

It is safe to say that Almiron is going through a difficult season at the moment. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has neither scored nor assisted in 24 appearances for Newcastle United across all competitions this season.

Thus, it is not hard to see why Howe might feel that he is not going to fit into his style of football. As a result, it would not be a huge surprise to see Almiron depart Newcastle United in the summer.

The Paraguayan international had arrived at Newcastle United in January of 2019 but after a solid start, things have faded away for him at St James’ Park.
