Newcastle United’s massive summer transfer budget revealed
Newcastle United are expected to go quickly up the Premier League ladder over the course of the next few seasons, following their change in ownership, and many even believe that they will start competing for titles in the near future, similar to what Manchester City have been able to do over the past decade or so.
Newcastle United have already shown their intent, by splashing out around £90 million in the January transfer window, after it had looked like the club were headed towards relegation in the first half of the campaign.
The arrivals have had the desired effect for sure and now, it looks like a finish in the top half of the Premier League table is not out of question for The Magpies.
It will be interesting to see what the club will do in the summer though. As reported by 90min, Newcastle United have set a £100 million budget for the summer transfer window, although Eddie Howe does not have plans to make wholesale changes to his current squad.

Interestingly, earlier rumours had broken out suggesting that Newcastle United will have a lower budget in the summer than the £90 million that they had shelled out in the January transfer window, but now, it looks like that might not be the case after all.
Let’s see how things turn out though, as only the future will tell what kind of additions the club are looking to make to their squad.
Their first focus right now surely has to be on remaining in the Premier League. The club might have climbed up to 14th in the table, but their place in next season’s campaign in the English top flight is still not secured. A win or two more might be enough to get them past the line of safety though.
