Newcastle United want Serie A goalkeeper on free transfer
Newcastle United made quite a splash in the January transfer window and brought in a number of players. Their arrival has appeared to have a positive impact on the club as well, as they have moved up the Premier League table and appear to be competing for a top ten finish at the moment, even though their safety is not completely guaranteed yet. Thus, it is safe to say that Eddie Howe and the players deserve a lot of credit.
But at the same time, the club will need to keep on improving if they are to eventually compete near the top of the table for European qualification spots and titles.
Surprisingly, there have been suggestions though that next summer could be quieter for The Magpies and the transfer budget might be lower than the £90 million that they ended up spending in January.
Thus, it could be very important for the club to make smart moves and now, it looks like they have a Serie A goalkeeper in their sights, who could be available as a free agent in the summer.

As reported by Corriere della Sera (via Sport Witness), Newcastle United would like Lazio goalkeeper, Thomas Strakosha.
Martin Dubravka is currently the number one between the posts for Newcastle United and he has been one of their most consistent players in recent times.
But the club continue to be linked with goalkeepers as it looks like that is an area that The Magpies want to bring reinforcements in.
Of course, that could mean bringing in someone who would be expected to become the starter immediately. Or it could mean signing someone who will compete for the first-team gloves with Dubravka. It looks like the situation will become much clearer in the summer.
