The first thing that Newcastle United need to do now is make sure that they stay up in the Premier League. Otavio is a versatile midfielder, who has been excellent in recent times. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 5 goals and provided 12 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions for FC Porto this season.

He turned 27 years of age last month and is entering his prime as a footballer. Thus, someone like Otavio can be an excellent addition for Newcastle United.

The Brazilian-born midfielder has never played in an European league other than Portugal and there will be doubts about whether he can adjust to the Premier League. But neither had his former FC Porto teammate, Luis Diaz, and look at the impact he has made since joining Liverpool in January.
