Newcastle United have made massive strides over the past few months. It is easy to forget but not too long ago, they were considered as one of the favourites to get relegated this season. But the appointment of Eddie Howe combined with some excellent additions in the January transfer window have seen them make a big turnaround and now, there is a possibility that The Magpies could even finish in the top half of the Premier League table.

Of course, this has to be considered as the beginning for Newcastle United, who following the change in ownership, are expected to eventually challenge for top honours in English football.

Thus, it would not be a big surprise for the club to make some big moves over the coming transfer windows and every fan will have their own dream signings.

While speaking to talkSPORT, James Bay, who is a Newcastle United fan, was asked about his three dream signings for The Magpies. And the musician ended up naming Manchester City’s John Stones, Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe and Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante.

Out of the three that Bay named, Stones is the one that seems to be the most realistic and in fact, there have been some rumours which have linked him with Newcastle United recently.

Last season, Stones had enjoyed an incredible run of form but at the end of the day, he is behind both Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte in the pecking order, when everyone is fit and on form. Thus, it would not be a massive surprise if the England international did end up departing Manchester City in the not too distant future and a move to St James’ Park might be a possibility.

On the other hand, it is hard to see either Mbappe or Kante signing for Newcastle United, unless something very unexpected happens.
