Newcastle United jet off to Dubai for training camp

Newcastle United have travelled to Dubai for a week-long training camp to prepare for the business end of the season.
With a two-week break before their next English Premier League game, the Newcastle United first-team squad has jetted off to Dubai to take part in a week-long warm weather training camp.
The club confirmed that Eddie Howe and his first-team squad travelled to Dubai on Friday, looking to train in warm weather conditions ahead of the business end of the season. The Newcastle United players will train at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex for the coming week to prepare for their upcoming games in the English Premier League.
Previous trip to the Middle East really helped Newcastle United
Eddie Howe will be hoping that this trip has a similar impact to the team’s last visit to the Middle East. Newcastle United travelled to Saudi Arabia during the January international break, and Howe hailed that trip as a key reason for their upturn in form.
Following their visit to Saudi Arabia, the Magpies went on a nine game unbeaten run and steered themselves clear of the relegation battle.
Newcastle United are currently sitting in 14th place in the English Premier League standings, but have lost both of their last two games. While relegation no longer appears to be a possibility, the club will be aiming to climb up the standings and finish the season in the top half of the table.
Newcastle’s next game sees them make the trip to London to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League following the international break.
And their fixture list after that won’t get any easier. So The Magpies have to make the most of this upcoming camp, recharge their batteries, and show up ready to get a few big results in order to guarantee safety.
