Newcastle United are targeting £60 million superstar

Newcastle United’s recent run of form has been up there with the best teams in Europe right now and as a result, it looks like they are now almost certain to stay up in the Premier League. But a strong January transfer window has done the trick for them.

It goes without saying that Nunez is enjoying a brilliant campaign this time around and is one of the most highly-rated young strikers in the world at the moment, and understandably so.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Nunez has scored 26 goals in 33 appearances for Benfica this season.

And he has proven himself to be a man for the big moment as well, most recently scoring the winner in the second leg against Ajax in the Champions League, which sent Benfica into the quarter-finals of the competition.

Also, at 22 years of age, one would expect Nunez to get a lot better moving forward. Thus, someone like him has the potential to be an incredible signing for Newcastle United.
