The last week has been an especially tough one for Newcastle United. They had to settle for a draw on Saturday and lost stars Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin due to injury in the process.

Then, Steve Bruce called out Matt Ritchie in his post-match comments, which led to a dust-up on the training ground earlier this week. But, despite all of the negativity, Newcastle United’s luck is expected to turn around this weekend.

According to The Action Network, the Magpies are the betting favorite in their crucial matchup vs. West Bromwich Albion on Sunday. Currently, Newcastle are +148 to win while the hosts are listed at +236. The draw is set for +235 at The Hawthorns.

This will be the first match that Newcastle United enter as the favorites in quite some time. After being heavy underdogs vs. Chelsea and Manchester United, Wolves got a slight nod over Newcastle last weekend from the bookies.

Newcastle United are favored to pick up all three points vs. West Brom.

The Action Network also lists the xG (expected goals) at 2.19 for the match with 1.19 going to NUFC and 1.00 for Sam Allardyce’s side. That is lowest listed combined total for a Premier League match this weekend. Leeds United vs. West Ham top that list at 3.32 xG.
