With the Premier League suspended until April 4th, the best thing we can do as fans is reflect on some of Newcastle United’s best moments so far this season.

The Premier League season has not concluded, but it remains to be seen when action around the league will be granted permission to kick off once again. For now, the Premier League is expected to pick up again on April 4th, but that will depend on the health circumstances in England at that time.

That being said, with 29 games already in the books, there are several great moments to reflect upon this season. Newcastle United have had their ups and downs in this transitional campaign following Rafa Benitez’s departure, but Steve Bruce should be proud of the results his men have achieved this season.

So, without further delay, let us look back at every game that has been played this season and determine the top five moments for Newcastle United. I am certain that most, if not all, of the moments included in this list also made your lists, but if not, feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.

5. Isaac Hayden’s stoppage time winner vs. Chelsea

Just when it looked like Newcastle United was going to frustrate Chelsea by holding them to a 0-0 draw at St. James’ Park, Isaac Hayden got his head on the end of a cross to win the game in the 94th minute. It was a crowded box, but Hayden managed to rise up and get on the end of a perfectly floated ball from Allan Saint-Maximin out wide.

Hayden’s header secured three precious and unexpected points for the Magpies. Did Newcastle United deserve to win that game? No, but all that matters is that three points stayed on Tyneside, and the roof was lifted off St. James’ Park after that goal went in.
