Newcastle United have lost two straight EPL matches and they find themselves still not clear of the relegation battle.

Before the Arsenal match, Newcastle United were enjoying an unbeaten run that saw them push up the Premier League table. But, with losses to Arsenal and Crystal Palace in back-to-back weeks, the Magpies find themselves just on the fringe of the relegation battle. With Matchweek 27 in the books, we look at how the battle at the bottom of the table is lining up and where NUFC factors in.

Prognosis

Newcastle United are in a good spot to survive this season. They sit seven points above 18th place and they get the chance to play five of their remaining 11 matches against clubs below them on the table. Last season, the 17th-place club finished with 36 points, two clear of 18th. The Magpies should be able to stack up enough draws at the very least to secure another year in the Premier League.
