4. Vedat Muriqi

I recently wrote an editorial suggesting that Newcastle United should join the race for Vedat Muriqi and I continue to stand by that opinion. The Kosovo international is lighting up the Turkish Super Lig with his goals and he is undoubtedly Fenerbahce’s primary striker this season. With 12 goals and four assists to his name so far this term, Muriqi is on track to having the best season of his career.

In total, Muriqi has scored an astonishing 29 goals in his last 45 appearances in the Turkish top flight. It is also worth mentioning that Muriqi has scored seven goals in his last 16 appearances for Kosovo. Other Premier League clubs like Tottenham, Manchester United and Leicester City are interested in the 25-year-old striker, but Newcastle United would present him with the best opportunity to be a regular starter in the Premier League. Muriqi is a dynamic forward that Newcastle United would regret not pursuing this summer.

3. Karlan Grant

Back to the Championship we go, but this time we are looking at Huddersfield Town’s top scorer Karlan Grant. At 22, Grant has plenty of potential to be a great striker and he has displayed some of his individual brilliance this season. So far this term, Grant has scored 13 goals and bagged four assists for the Terriers. Overall, Grant is fifth in the Championship golden boot race.

The 22-year-old joined Huddersfield Town when they were still in the Premier League in January of last year. Grant made 13 top flight appearances for the Terriers and found the back of the net on four occasions. Like last season, Huddersfield Town are struggling, and that is what makes the case for Grant more appealing.

The youngster is still finding ways to score goals on a team that is five points above the relegation zone in the Championship. In my opinion, Grant could find success in the Premier League and he would be an upgrade compared to Joelinton despite coming from a lower division.
