Manchester City vs. West Ham

  • The best outcome here would be a win for Manchester City. West Ham are surprisingly in the bottom three with 24 points. A loss to the defending league champions would allow Newcastle United to stay at least seven points ahead of David Moyes’ side. A win against Arsenal could see that gap extend to ten points.

Burnley vs. Bournemouth

  • The best outcome here would be a win for Burnley. Three points for Burnley could see them jump ahead of Newcastle United in the table, but that scenario is better than Bournemouth potentially coming within two points of the Toon if they win. Eddie Howe’s men are in a tight relegation battle with Aston Villa and West Ham at the moment, and that is exactly where Newcastle United need them to be.

Sheffield United vs. Brighton

  • The best outcome here would be a win for Sheffield United. The Blades are on fire at the moment and they pose no threat to Newcastle United’s chances of survival, but Brighton do. The Seagulls are only four points behind the Magpies and the closer they get, more pressure will pile up on the shoulders of Steve Bruce and his players.

Southampton vs. Aston Villa

  • The best outcome here would be a win for Southampton. The Saints could go ahead of a the Magpies with a win in this clash, but that would not hurt Newcastle United in their quest for survival. Three points for Aston Villa, on the other hand, certainly would, especially if they were to upset Tottenham before this game.
