Who will be in Steve Bruce’s starting XI tomorrow when Newcastle United take on Oxford United?

Tomorrow, Newcastle United will try to advance in the FA Cup as they face Oxford United in a 4th round replay. The first matchup ended in a scoreless draw and the Magpies will look to impose their will against the League One side. We take a look at the lineup that Steve Bruce could trot out at Kassam Stadium.

Steve Bruce shined some light on how he might line up tomorrow. He confirmed that Danny Rose and Valentino Lazaro are not eligible due to being signed after the first matchup vs. Oxford. Bruce also mentioned that Fabian Schar and Florian Lejeune are eager to get back into the fold and they will likely both feature, along with the Longstaff brothers, if they are fit.

With the break coming up after this fixture, I doubt that Bruce rests any of his three primary attacking players. DeAndre Yedlin and Matt Ritchie are essentially the only options at wing-back unless he plugs Isaac Hayden in on the right side after Yedlin’s poor performance vs. Norwich City.

I’d expect to see Thomas Allan make the bench again tomorrow. I would have predicted Elias Sorensen to be another young player given a chance because of the lack of striking depth, but he and fellow striker Yannick Toure played the full 90 minutes and scored for the U-23s yesterday.
