Newcastle United have struggled to score goals in recent seasons, but that wasn’t always the case. The Toon Army have been blessed with the opportunity to witness some talented strikers score meaningful and impressive goals over the last ten years.

One of those strikers, who was actually linked with a potential return to Newcastle United in January, was Papiss Cisse. The former Senegalese international won fans over with his stellar performances and clinical finishing between 2012 and 2016.

Cisse’s highlight reel in a black and white jersey is endless, but there is no doubt that his goal against Chelsea, which was voted as the Goal of the Season in 2012, was the best one he scored in a Newcastle United jersey. Cisse stunned everyone in the stadium and those watching on television with his incredible outstep volley that left Petr Cech back tracking and swiping at the air.

Was this one of the more meaningful moments for Newcastle United in the last decade? No, but it was one of the most impressive goals ever scored by the club in the Premier League. For that reason, this one-of-a-kind goal had to be included in the list and could not be ranked fifth.
