Newcastle United have six matches coming up in the busiest month of their 2019/20 Premier League season.
After a positive month of November for Newcastle United, the club currently sits 14th on the table and will enter a crucial stretch of matches across December. We take a look at who they face and when.
12/5/19: Newcastle United at Sheffield United
For the first time this season, Newcastle United will take on the newly-promoted side that is exceeding all expectations. The Blades currently occupy a top-eight spot in the EPL and have only conceded 13 goals on the year. NUFC and Sheffield United have not played since 2010 when the Magpies won 2-1 in the Championship.
12/8/19: Southampton at Newcastle United
The Saints have allowed a league-high 32 goals so far this season after some epic blowout losses. They currently sit second bottom on the table, only ahead of the Watford side that they defeated over the weekend.
12/14/19: Newcastle United at Burnley
Burnley, currently in the top ten, have lost four of their last six EPL matches. Newcastle United swept the season series vs. the Clarets last season.
12/21/19: Crystal Palace at Newcastle United
Experiencing an up and down season so far, Crystal Palace are 11th in the Premier League. Despite that decent position, they are tied with Newcastle and Everton for second-fewest goals scored in the top flight.
12/26/19: Newcastle United at Manchester United
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been under fire for the poor performance of the Red Devils, especially a loss to Astana in the Europa League last week. Yesterday, they finished level with Aston Villa at Old Trafford. A Matty Longstaff goal pushed Newcastle United past Man. United earlier this season.
12/28/19: Everton at Newcastle United
After a loss to Leicester City yesterday, Everton find themselves one place above relegation with only two more points more than 18th-place Southampton. The Toffees have one win in their last five matches and Marco Silva is currently trending towards being the next EPL manager to be sacked (He’s not fired yet at the time of this article, but that could change by the time you’re reading this).
