Realistically speaking, there are only two teams worth discussing when it comes to the title race this season.
The 2019-20 Premier League champions will be…
Durim Halimi: Manchester City
I think the title race will be neck and neck once again this season, but I feel like the pressure on Liverpool to dethrone Manchester City will be more difficult to handle than the pressure on Manchester City to win the title for third consecutive season. I also think Tottenham will give Liverpool a run for their money in second place…
Carson A. Merk: Manchester City
A three-peat is on the way for Pep Guardiola’s side. They are still the most talented, deep side in the English top-flight and they will comfortably fend off their competitors this season. I think Arsenal will be a surprise contender for a top-three spot.
The relegated teams will be…
Durim Halimi: Norwich City (18th), Brighton (19th) and Sheffield United (20th)
All three teams had horrible transfer windows. The newcomers and Brighton signed players who will not have a meaningful impact on their rosters and the overall quality of their teams just scream relegation. The Toon should take at least 15 points out of a possible 18 from these teams.
Carson A. Merk: Brighton (18th), Aston Villa (19th) and Sheffield United (20th)
Norwich City should avoid relegation courtesy of their attack, but these three sides simply exude disappointment and losses. It will be bittersweet to see Brighton and Hove Albion head back to the Championship. They have been the Magpies closest contemporaries in recent years, battling for the EFL title and seeing inconsistent success in the Premier League.
