Will an established player win the NUFC Player of the Year award or will a newcomer take the crown?

Newcastle United’s Player of the Year will be…

Durim Halimi: Jonjo Shelvey

I sense a resurgence in the making here with this prediction. Shelvey seems more confident and comfortable under Steve Bruce and I think this will translate to consistency on the pitch. Look for Shelvey to be a key playmaker this season.

Carson A. Merk: Miguel Almiron

A full season in the Premier League will see Miguel Almiron go from an intriguing, exciting player to a bonafide star. He will provide goals, assists, and dribbling for Steve Bruce’s side.

Newcastle United’s top scorer will be…

Durim Halimi: Joelinton, 15 goals

Based on my observations from preseason, Joelinton will be a problem for opposing defenders. He can create chances on his own, but look for Almiron and Saint-Maximin to feed the Brazilian with plenty of assists inside the box.

Carson A. Merk: Miguel Almiron, 12 goals

As I mentioned previously, Almiron will become a superstar in the EPL this season. I don’t think he will run away with the goal lead, but I think he will outscore Joelinton by a couple for a more balanced scoring side.
