The 2019-20 Premier League campaign kicks off tomorrow and Carson and I are ready to make our predictions known to the public.
The start of the Premier League is always an exciting time for fans, analysts and reporters. Today is the final day for folks to make their true predictions for this coming season. Predictions are best described as double-edged swords. If you get your predictions right you are viewed as a genius, but if you are way off you can say goodbye to any credibility you had.
Carson and I agree on a lot of things, but if you have been following our work over the last few years you will know that Carson tends to be a bit more pessimistic than I am regarding how we think Newcastle United will perform. That being said, we hope you enjoy our predictions for Newcastle United, as well as some player-specific predictions, title race predictions and who we think will be relegated this season. Note: we advise that you do not take these predictions to your nearest betting agency because you might go broke.
Newcastle United will finish…
According to our readers who participated in our Twitter poll earlier this week, the Magpies will finish the season between 13th and 17th on the table. I personally think Newcastle United will finish a little higher in the table, but Carson’s prediction is in line with the poll results.
Currently working on our predictions article for the new season. We'd like to compare our predictions with yours. So, where will #NUFC finish in the table this season?

Durim Halimi: 11th, 47 points
I think Newcastle United will have some fun this season and they will earn some impressive wins thanks to a stable defense and a dynamic attacking trio. The young attacking trio will hit a learning curve at some point this season, but the Magpies have more talent than at least seven teams in the league.
Carson A. Merk: 13th, 45 points
Personally, I think there is poetic justice in sports. Just like the club’s record being identical times last season as it was the year before, I am predicting Newcastle United will finish in the exact same position with the exact same points as last season. The losses of Rafa Benitez and Ayoze Perez will hopefully be offset by the arrival of Joelinton and Allan Saint-Maximin combined with better luck.
