The 2019-20 Premier League season is almost here and that means it is time for some new chants at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle United have two more friendly matches to compete in before they begin their new Premier League season at home on August 11th against Arsenal. It has been an interesting summer on Tyneside. Rafa Benitez left and Steve Bruce is his replacement. The potential takeover of the club fell through, as most folks expected. Mike Ashley decided to shatter the club’s transfer record by £19m to bring in Joelinton and the Toon are supposedly looking at a few more pricey targets despite Sports Direct receiving a £605m tax bill from Belgian authorities.

So, yes, it has been one heck of a summer on Tyneside. All the drama aside, though, we as fans should be excited to see the lads take the pitch again and fight to reach new heights after spending two consecutive seasons in relegation battles. That being said, Carson and I will try to spice things up by focusing on the players and the team ahead of this new season with some world class chants of our own.

Durim: “Have No Fear”

"Have no fear, lads, have no fear;Miggy and Joe are here;Have no fear, lads, have no fear;Miggy and Joe are here!"

Carson: “That’s How The Longstaffs Roll” (to the tune of DMX’s Rough Ryders’ Anthem)

"Sean…rocksMatthew’s dribbling up to the topLet’s…go…That’s how the Longstaffs roll!"

Durim: “He’s from Slovakia”

"We’ve got a guardian;Strong and brave;Martin Dubravka is his name!He hails from Slovakia;There goes Dubravka;Making another save!"

Carson: “Shelvey’s Gonna Pass It” (to the tune of The Clash’s Rock The Casbah)

"Shelveeeeey’s gonna pass itAcross St. James, Across St. JamesShelveeeeey’s gonna pass itAcross St. James, Across St. James"
