Newcastle United will look to forget their horrible loss to Liverpool with a win against Watford tomorrow.

After losing 4-0 at Anfield on Wednesday, Newcastle United will look to rebound with a positive result against Watford at Vicarage Road tomorrow afternoon. Newcastle defeated Watford at St. James’ Park earlier this year and the Magpies will look to claim their first double of the season as they aim to steal three much-needed points before 2019.

Watford will look to get revenge and pile on more misery for Newcastle after a rough week of bad results. Watford are very much a hit or miss type team, but they have done enough to keep their spot among the top ten.

Wake Up, Newcastle!

This match will be competitive and difficult for Newcastle, especially since they are playing at Vicarage Road, but Rafa Benitez’s men are fully capable of winning. The problem, however, is that no one knows which Newcastle side will show up. If we see the team that struggled against Huddersfield Town, Fulham and Liverpool then we have a problem on our hands.

Benitez knew that Newcastle would not stand a chance against Liverpool and he rested some players with the hope of having them in the best shape for Watford. Joselu getting the nod over Salomon Rondon on Wednesday definitely means that supporters should expect to see the Venezuelan number nine start against Watford. This change up top only matters if Newcastle’s wingers can make plays happen since Ki Sung-yueng and Jonjo Shelvey are unavailable in central midfield.

Newcastle’s defenders need a big wake up call after their shaky performances in recent weeks. Yes, the back-line earned two clean sheets before losing to Liverpool, but they were lucky in the process. Watford boast a dangerous attack with multiple players who can create chances for themselves without support. That being said, Newcastle’s defenders must be aware of their surroundings and lock up players before the ball even reaches them if they want to stay in this game.

Anything can happen tomorrow, but three points is the sole objective for both teams. A victory against Watford could see Newcastle move eight points clear of the bottom three if Burnley lose and Fulham draw with Huddersfield Town. A victory for Watford could see them move from tenth to seventh in the table.

Match Prediction: Watford 2-2 Newcastle
