Before Newcastle United takes on Leicester City tomorrow, we caught up with FanSided’s Foxes of Leicester.

Newcastle United travels to King Power Stadium tomorrow to face Leicester City. For an insight on the Magpies’ opponent, we talked with Foxes of Leicester, the FanSided blog for Leicester City.

Newcastle Toons: Currently sitting 8th in the EPL, how big of a disappointment would you say this season has been for Leicester City?

Foxes of Leicester: Disappointment? I won’t say it’s a disappointment at all. Leicester City are second only to the big six, who, barring Tottenham Hotspur, are all big names in Europe. There’s no shame in being second to them. Yes, being behind Burnley is certainly a bit disappointing, but there’s a lot of time for the Foxes to catch them.

NT: How has the recent stretch of matches gone for LCFC? Who is playing well and who is in bad form?

FL: As is apparent from the results, Leicester City have had a bit of a rollercoaster ride of late. That’s down to the entire team not playing at the required level, so it’s unfair to single out a player or two for that. As far as playing well is concerned, though, then Jamie Vardy, the ever-reliable Marc Albrighton and Wilfred Ndidi and the Foxes’ current hero, Vicente Iborra, have all been excellent.

NT: Islam Slimani is finally playing for NUFC on loan from your squad, do you think Leicester City would be open to letting his deal become permanent and in what price range might that be?

FL: Claude Puel is definitely going to sell Islam Slimani – there’s no doubt about that. I think Leicester City would be happy to get anything over £15 million for the Algerian.

NT: Outside of Slimani, obviously, which Newcastle United players catch your attention from the outside?

FL: Kenedy, Jamaal Lascelles, DeAndre Yedlin, and Paul Dummett have all been good for the past couple of months or so, but the one player who I think is the most important is Kenedy. He has been phenomenal.

NT: Now, the moment of truth: What’s your prediction for tomorrow’s match?

FL: Leicester City have been far off their absolute best, therefore drawing their last three league games at the King Power Stadium. I think it’ll be a fourth consecutive draw at home for them after what I saw (or what I didn’t see) in the fortunate 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion.
