Jermain Jenas

Jermain Jenas got a tad upset when we put one of his goals as the fifth best goal in Newcastle United history. I’ll be honest, it was Jenas vs Andros Townsend for this spot, and due to Townsend’s quick departure, I felt Jermain Jenas did what he could to thrive at Newcastle United.

No, Jenas didn’t have relegation to battle, but he did have expectations. And while those expectations were never fully met, it doesn’t mean he wasn’t a serviceable midfielder for Newcastle United. A strong passer and great box-to-box play, Jenas was a key Newcastle United player, despite his lack of goals to show for it.
