Gouffran is the obvious choice for this position after his performances recently. He’s been one of the strongest players in midfield and has had a rebirth of form under Rafa Benitez.

With two goals and one assist, Gouffran isn’t the most prolific midfielder, but he has been making passes that create chances. His pass percentage has been around 82%, and for that he reason, he completely beats out Adam Hamill whose passing has been hovering around 71%.
