CB – Marc Roberts

The first Barnsley player to make the list and it’s not hard to explain why. He’s a clearing machine, and if Newcastle hopes to score goals, they’ll have to keep Roberts guessing.

He’s been in top form for Barnsley, despite their shortcomings, and has averaged a rating of 7.5 in eight appearances.

According to WhoScored, Roberts has averaged 10.6 clearances a match. He’s also been on the pitch more than any other player other than the goalkeeper.

They rely on him a lot, and he’s been the reason for strong performances.
