Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez has preferred new signing Matz Sels to Karl Darlow between the sticks in the league.

The former Nottingham Forest stopper has only played once this season and that was in the previous round of the EFL Cup.

Darlow finished last campaign strongly after injuries to both Tim Krul and Rob Elliot, although he will be disappointed to not feature in the Championship so far.

Sels has had his ups and downs in the Toon goal though and a good performance could put pressure on him.
