The revival of Vurnon Anita’s career at Newcastle United has been one of the feel good stories of the summer, but no longer.

Under Steve McClaren it looked like that diminutive midfielder was set for the chop, but Rafa Benitez loves his excellent technique and all round ability.

But does he love it too much? Toon fans all over are getting tired of persisting with Anita in an unfamiliar role – surely there are better alternatives?
