If we’re talking about paying inflated prices for midfielders who have had an average Premier League, but a good Euro 2016, than surely Joe Allen would be worth the same a lot?
So goes the view of this Liverpool fan, who would see Allen sold and the money used to bring in Sissoko.
While the tweet was very tongue in cheek, there could be some method in the madness – and there would be teams willing to spend a bit more for the Welshman now.
