The rumour that Newcastle United are interested in Blackburn Rovers defender Grant Hanley is an interesting one.

This story hasn’t been reported in the national press, but betting website BetVictor have slashed the odds of the defender joining the Magpies to 2/1.

Hanley meets manager Rafa Benitez’s criteria for what he wants from the transfer window, and a deal could be likely.
