Newcastle transfers: Seven deals rumoured this week

Newcastle United are slowly getting up to speed in the transfer window, with manager Rafa Benitez confirming there are deals about to be done.

The Magpies have taken it slow up to now, but the Spaniard confirmed up to four moves could be made in a short amount of time.

One of those could be within the next 48 hours, although speculation remains as to which player it could be.

On the leaving side, there are continued rumours of United’s biggest starts leaving the club for pastures new.

Frustratingly, no club has been linked with some of the worst ones, including the likes of Yoan Gouffran and Emmanuel Riviere.

“We have three or four things ready. It’s just that we have to start with the first one and then we have two or three that I think we can do in one week,” Benitez commented about the impending deals.

“But we can say nothing as the person who is responsible at this team is away. He will come back on Friday.”
