After relegation the last time, Newcastle United were able to bring Andy Carroll through the ranks and develop him thanks to the increased game time.
Aleksandar Mitrovic has found the going tough this campaign, but could a season in the English second league do him a favour?
The same could be said of Ayoze Perez, and if dropping down a division can help to bring on a few players, it might help the club in the process.
