Former Newcastle United attacker Peter Lovenkrands played for the Magpies between 2009 and 2012, starting 47 times and scoring 22 goals.

He still has a soft spot for Tyneside, and the fans still have a soft spot for the Danish player – who signed on a free transfer from Scottish side Rangers.

Lovenkrands thinks the club can come straight back up from the Championship again, but it will be a much harder ask for Newcastle this campaign.
