Defender Jamaal Lascelles is another squad member who wouldn’t have expected to feature so heavily for Newcastle United this campaign.

Despite hardly featuring in the first three quarters of 2015/2016, Lascelles has become a vocal and outspoken member of the Magpies’ squad.

The Toon Army have taken him under their wing because of his passionate language after the Southampton defeat, and the former Nottingham Forest player seems to have become an important leader in the dressing room.
