The funny thing is, would Rafa Benitez pick Danny Simpson over Daryl Janmaat if he was still at Newcastle United?

What’s for sure is, the Magpies can certainly do with a good back up to that right-back position, as Vurnon Anita playing there because of one injury shows.

Could this achievement be a stepping stone for a move to a ‘bigger’ club, if you can get bigger than a side who has just won the Premier League.
