Harvard Nordtveit

After starting his career in his native Norway, and playing 10 times for Haugesund, Arsenal signed Harvard Nordtveit.

However, he would never make an appearance for the Gunners – and after three loan spells was snapped up by Borussia Mochengladbach.

Despite playing 168 times for the German side, his contract is up at the end of the season. Aged only 25-year-old, Nordtveit would make a good addition to the Newcastle United midfield.

His arrival would also let the wantaway Cheick Tiote leave to pastures now, while bringing down the wage bill and injecting new life into the side.
