9: Seydou Doumbia

Seydou Doumbia was supposed to be the man to save Newcastle United, but just like Steve McClaren’s time on Tyneside, he turned out to be a damp squib.

This transfer from AS Roma may not have been worth a lot financially, but it’s certainly left the Toon chiefs with egg on their face as the striker has only played 29 minutes of football since January.
