Newcastle United lost against Leicester City during Rafa Benitez’s first game in charge.

The Foxes scored the only goal of the game thanks to an acrobatic effort from Japanese striker Shinji Okazaki in the first half.

The Magpies had their own chances to hit the back of the net, but continued to frustrate the Toon Army with their inability to finish.

One moment where Moussa Sissoko and Aleksandar Mitrovic ran into each other and spoiled an excellent opportunity to score summed the night up well.

Leicester are now top of the table by five points, while Newcastle are back to second bottom in the league – and desperately need three points against Sunderland on Sunday.
