Sammy Ameobi has always failed to live up the hype. As a tricky left winger, Ameobi has never developed the way Newcastle United bosses wanted him to.
Now on loan with Cardiff City, the 23-year-old has only played 32 minutes in his last three appearances, and hasn’t started a game for nearly a month.
He will be hoping that right that when the Bluebirds take on Ipswich Town on Saturday.
