Newcastle United’s injured men have made a return to training ahead of the clash against Stoke City on Wednesday.

The Magpies can expect the likes of Siem de Jong and Vurnon Anita to be available for selection against the Potters during the midweek clash.

Mark Hughes’s side have their own problems – with captain Ryan Shawcross currently on the treatment table for a back problem.

Their defence is a lot shakier without Shawcross, while they also have Glen Johnson out with no return date scheduled.
